Charles has been climbing for a decade plus. He also enjoys mountaineering above the tree line, ice climbing, hiking, and running the gym.

Cody's love for rock-climbing, particularly on Southern Sandstone, began over a decade ago in Eastern Kentucky.  He strives to keep people stoked about climbing while helping them reach their full fitness potential. Cody views coaching as an outlet to give back to the community, where he looks forward to being part of the growing climbing culture here in Coastal North Carolina. Cody is an AMGA certified Climbing Wall Instructor, USAclimbing Level 1 route setter, W.F.R, and Leave No Trace Master Educator.

Heather started climbing at the start of her freshman year at The Ohio State University, but her passion for climbing really began with climbing trees when she was younger. She finds her passion for climbing is best demonstrated when teaching others. She is the lead instructor of the newest generation of climbers in the Young Aspiring Climbers program. She also enjoys setting routes here and teaching the Intro to Top Roping Course—where she can help create new “belay-tionships” in the gym. She is an AMGA Certified Climbing Wall Instructor in Lead and Top Rope, as well as a Wilderness EMT.​

John started seriously climbing in 2011 after helping to build the B.O.L.D. Bouldering Center at Carson-Newman University outside Knoxville, TN. During his years in the Knoxville area, John cut his teeth climbing outdoors at the Obed. John moved to Wilmington in 2017 to work as a worship pastor and quickly discovered the Wilmington climbing community. John is an AMGA Certified Climbing Wall Instructor.

Shannon's love of travel landed her in Wilmington, where she was thrilled to find WRG. Shannon harnessed her teaching expertise while working at Ramstein Outdoor Recreation in Germany. She has also taught scuba diving and ice diving.

Jack grew up in Rye, New York and graduated from Elon University in 2015 with a degree in Sport & Event Management. While at Elon he played for four years and served as Senior Captain and Vice President of the Club Lacrosse Team. After graduating Jack moved to Kenya to teach baseball with a nonprofit, Baseball4Africa. While in Africa he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. Jack rediscovered his passion for climbing in the fall of 2017 while spending a few months in Bend, Oregon. You can find Jack surfing most days when he isn't working or climbing at the Wilmington Rock Gym.
